Today we finished the floor on each house. We shared our thoughts and feelings with our homeowners, many of us in tears with emotion. We presented them with a Bible, full of messages we had written. We also presented handmade moon and sun to decorate the front of the house. We then put our hands on the house- everyone- the family, the volunteers, the habitat staff, the masons, even neighbor children. And then we prayed. The Nicaraguans prayed the Lord's prayer in Spanish, the volunteers in English, in unison. To say it was moving is an understatement. We spent the rest of the afternoon in reflection, cleaning up, and beach combing. A few pictures below. Dedication pictures to follow!
