Heading to the Batu caves at the end of January. Didn't realise there was a train going there. Might change our itinereary accordingly!!

Eiffel Tower
Totally agreed. Effiel Tower has its own unique wow factor and the magnificent view of has won me over, completely... Look forward to my next visit to Paris, specially for it only.

Haha... a TV was as good as none if all the shows were in Bahasa Indonesia courtesy of Metro TV, the nation's free to air channel. There were no cable TVs.

Basically there is nothing much there. But companions play a very impt role tat sparks up the boring place. We are very good at playing phototaking for a good 30 mins with just one harbour. =P

I WAS STATIONED AT SUWON AB 1953-54. THE VILLAGE WAS REALLY NOTHING TO SEE. BUT TIN SHACKS AND NO RUNNING WATER. +. I DO REMEMBER AN ARCHWAY LEADING OUT OF THE VILLAGE.PLENTY OF RICE FIELDS AND HONEY BUCKETS....

Hi Frankie, Thanks so much for your comments. Vietnam certainly had a weather variation from central to south. It was hot and dry in Saigon but wet and cold in Hoi An when I visited. I was quite disappointed with My Son even though I did enjoy the rest of my trip.
