Heading to SA in 3 months
Glad to see that your travels are going well. My name is Adam Maingot and my wife and I are trying to plan a trek from the US to Africa through Kruger in February. We were wondering what safari company you used, the cost of the package and if they had some contact info. Thanks a mil and best of luck on the rest of your trip!!

Its all fun especially when drink is involved!!
Hello to any friends of Dikenga reading this!! Captain Kelly I can assure you that by the end of the first night no sambucca was left hence why we turned to tequila and rum on Sunday to celebrate the respective birthdays. Rik and co were certainly fine hosts and I can assure you Gustov was in fine spirits if not a little exhausted after his adventure in the dingy. It was interesting to hear and read Gustovs little story of how he arrived on Dikenga and his first jaunt at sea....!!

Dikenga
Hi! Sure enjoyed reading about your time on Dikenga and especially appreciated the photos. Rik spent a few months on our boat, Dragon Star, and he is very good a communicating but interesting to hear from his crew. Sounds like you are doing plenty of travelling. All the best.

congratulations on your initiation
Andrea, congratulations on your initiation aboard Dikenga! Rik always knows how to be a cordial host and Gustov loves to be the centre of attention. It is surprising to hear Dikenga still has Sambuca on board. Cheers! Angus _/) s/v Aquaholic

4 Days Before the Mast
Certainly a tale of tragic woe. Being force fed grog and gruel, fending off pirates with a rusty sabre, being chained to the oars, and waking every morning drunk in the scuppers. Glad you had a good time! Yoda and I are adjusting to the terrible echo below caused by too much empty space. Happy trails!

Reliably informed....
I have been reliably informed by my Dad that the unnamed pretty flower in my photo "is a helibour ( in our garden) as Christmas rose"

Tour Operators...
Hi John I got my deal through Dreamkapture Travel in Guayaquil. They also have a hostel. They were really good and in all honesty I think I got the best deal possible. They will tell you the various options available to you. When I got to Quito I saw the same cruise on offer for the same time and boat for a lot more money and I mean a lot more ($400 more!). Andrea

Worth it?
Hey, were unsure whether we'll visit the islands while in Ecuador, your story and photos do help though!! Any idea which tour operators are the best for blowing the budget but not completly levelling it? :) Thanks, John.

Harry Potter....
Harry Potter was good and I did enjoy it as much as the others (sorry Rachel I disagree with you). I jumped at the lake bit like you and that was even with the warning from you!! I didn't go with the popcorn as I knew I wouldn't finish it without you and your Dad around to hoover it all up! - ha ha

Time is definitely flying by!
It is mad to think that it is 3 and a bit months ago since we were all stood in Heathrow and you tried to take me out with a tackle but failed miserably! Make sure you give Deirdre and huge welcome home as am sure the sights of England after the Galapagos will be truly depressing albeit seeing you and Fuzzy should cheer her up! Enjoy your reunion. Brimster! xx
