Awesome!! What a great accomplishment! Your journal has been such an adventure to follow along with - - I'll kind of miss it. I can still look forward to the urban entry. Can't wait to see you both back in Stillwater. Travel safe! See you soon.
The Awesome Adventure I enjojed this latest entry in your journal. I will miss hearing about the other hikers on the trail. Its sad to end that part of your trip.
Congratulations! You guys did good - really good!! I'm so proud of you. It sounds like you had a really good trip with some challenges that you managed to overcome. I'm really looking forward to seeing you in a week or so. Be safe!!!
Ira Fine? the 4th Stooge? Ira Fine? any kin to Larry? You guys have really hit your stride. Why stop now? It sounds like you're just getting use to it.
I wish you had more pictures of climbing on Lehigh Gap. I hope the picture looking down to the road is not the actual trail.
Keep up the good work. We really appreciate the updates.
Walking in solidarity with you Great to read your latest update. I have developed a big blister on my left heel as a way to stay in solidarity with you guys on your hike. Those boots I was wearing are definitely not going to Canada. I was going to try and talk you guys into taking a one week detour up to the Boundary Waters until I realized that you do not have Remote Area Border Crossing permits. Oh well, you guys are probably tired of camping out by now anyway. Look forward to seeing you in Minneapolis, Stillwater, or somewhere on I-35. Have fun on the rest of the trip.
Wanted to let you guys know I've been keeping up with the blog. Your trip looks like a blast - all of Appalachia is completely gorgeous and among my favorite areas in the US. Best of luck with the rest of your trek!
Well, aren't we having fun. Your hanging out for a couple of days is a really good idea. Don't risk the heat. Heat is a big danger. The forecast shows that the heat will break after tomorrow.
Im looking forward to the picture download Tuesday. And the fun side of the A.T. spin.
Happy Honeymooning,
IJ
I feel your pain I was thinking about both of you yesterday as I was mowing and sweating (at least I wasn't having to walk on rocks). Actually it was only in the 70's today, but I noticed PA was having a heat wave. I agree that the downhill can actually be worse than the uphill climbs. It was great talking with you. Enjoy the experience.
Love the last entries - - looks like a great way to see the country. Can't wait for news from the next leg of the journey. News Bulletin from Stillwater - - - I finally got IJ to Tokyo Pot. We both loved it!
OSU season over WSU 11 OSU 7
An Oklahoma native hit a grand slam in the tenth inning to beat OSU. OSU had a two run lead going into the 9th but blew it.
Appalachain Tail #2 gets Thumbs up! I appreciate your spellbinding account of your latest entry "Appalachain Trail 2#". Your character studies and reviting accounts of mortal danger in conquering bolders, other geological obsticals, vicious and could have been venomous snakes and untold too numerous other dangers has been a pleasing read. Keep up the good work I am eagerly looking forward to the next installment to read what adventure youe may expose the public to next.
I feel in your writing that you guys are not only prepared for the challange ahead of you but that you desire the oportunity for it "Bring ot On"... Belly Bump That.
Good Show! Enjoy each other, embrace the spirituality in nature and absorbe every memory possible.
With Love and God's Speed,

Where are you now? Hi guys! It was SO great to talk to you Thursday! How is the ankle holding up Brian? You'll be happy to know that OSU won its first game against Western Kentucky in the regional last night - we face Wichita State tonight (Saturday). We're eagerly watching for updates and more pictures. Have fun and stay safe.
Envious Senior Lady I'm enjoying vicarious pleasure seeing your pics and reading journal entries. Keep updating! Maybe I'll get in shape when I have TWO good artifical knees and plan a future hike. Betty Gilliam
TP for my bunghole? Did you guys bring toilet paper? I know Brian was super conservative on the weight of your packs. I was just curious, if you have no TP, what do you use when you take Big Brown to the stable or the Browns to the Super Bowl? It was great to hear from you, and I expect many more phone calls. Pokes play Western Kentucky @ 7pm Friday. TCU and Wichita State are on the other side of the bracket. I'll post with results later.
Exciting I am so excited for the two of you. Sounds like your training has paid off. Hope you are enjoying every moment of your big adventue. Be careful! Keep the food hiding first it is the rats then next thing you know it is a bear. Love ya
Keep on, Keeping on.... BB and I really enjoyed reading about your first trail experiences. This exciting for all of us. Take your time to see and be part of it all.
Looking forwad to the next entry. Have fun and be safe. We love you guys. Happy annivesary! Enjoy this Honeymoon, one of many.
Happy First I knew you were on the trail, and sad I could not wish you Happy Anniversary. Thanks for blogging. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY.
Oh, if you get your shoes wet, don't put them too close to the fire. It is hard to walk with the toe of the shoe wrapped in adhesive tape. Tip from the Adirondaks.
Hi guys! Surprised to see you posting so soon! I hope whatever got your sunflower seeds left your packs alone. We really enjoyed hiking with you. But I have to admit to being glad we're in a motel right now instead of on the trail with you! Hope you continue to be spared the rain.
