South America » Argentina » Tierra del Fuego » Ushuaia December 28th 2006

Hi all I have made it safely to Ushuaia at the bottom of South America. The flight was long and tiring with plenty of delays thanks to Aerolineas Argentinas but got there in one piece with all my gear so can’t complain. Tomorrow I have a trip to Tierra del Fuego National Park during the day then we board the ship in the evening. Doesn’t get dark to about 10.30pm here, kinda weird. Guess I will get used to it. Trouble is you don’t get to sleep till 11.30 each night and then the sun is up around 5am. Weather is reasonable at the moment, hope it holds for tomorrow. Hello all and welcome to our travel blog. For those of you that don't know I am flying to South Amercia on Boxing day and then going on a 25 day expedition on a ship to the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and Antarctica. Corinne is flying over and meeting me in Ushuaia when I get off the ship and then we are backpacking through South America for about 4 weeks. We will be travelling through Argentina and Chile and then Brazil, finishing in Rio for the Carnival in February 2007.
