the irrepressible Sonja
Nice blog concluding a Great trip to Ecuador. 2 thoughts: 1) doctors are not unlike auto mechanics in the sense that any malfunction can be diagnosed in a number of ways on any given day, and 2) when will the Sonja book be available en la Mariscal?

Pretty
Hi, Thanks for your comment. Yes, it was pretty cold and rainy/foggy up there. I did not walk much in T-shirt, but more with thick fleece and jacket (good quality rain-proof jacket advisable). I have a very good sleeping bag, so I was never cold at night. Cheers Sonja

nice pix of lakes and deer
SH Nice, very nice. I wanna pet a deer, too. Were you very cold there? Maybe I should unpack some shorts and T shirts and replace them with sweaters and earmuffs.

I know the feeling
Thanks for the reminder. First when in such locations, I always carry all major money and docs in a secure place close to my jewels. 2nd: All valued gear is always kept in front of my chest, one way or another. Also, this posture sends messages to thieves that I am on the alert. T

Yes, Illiniza is perfect to prepare for Cotopaxi, as it is the only one which is about 5-600m lower tha Cotopaxi.

col-U-mbia
Off course the accent is different; people from Columbia speak very different English from that of people from Atlanta, New York or even Miami... Oh you mean the country C-O-L-O-M-B-I-A sorry got confused because COLOMBIA, and Columbia are two totally different places!

Sonja, from your photos of Loja, the town looks very clean. I even can see the Christmas decoration on the street! You makes lovely pictures of the town, but you don't have strong feeling to this town. I found it lovely!

2007 Christmas
Dear Sonja, Christmas is coming, I hope you have a nice Christmas in Ecuador. You are never alone, all the friends read your Travelblog, and I love your writing so much. If I don't have my Chinese passport, maybe I'll come to see you. But at the moment I still don't have free for traveling.

Hi Sonja,
Hi, Sonja, it was nice to read what you wrote, like a novel. I hope, you can learn the dance well, and we can have fun when you are in Munich again.
