Monday the 12th Got on a bus that night half steamed. We decided a few evening beers would help us sleep on the bus as it was an overnight bus about 11 hours to mendoza. Then on the bus they then gave us more drink, wine and whiskey. I was knocked out. Tuesday the 13th and wednesday the 14th Woke up to find we were parked in some bus hospital. Sunday the 3rd That night I had a great night out in a restaurant Mainly with people from the hostel. Everyone was on the dance floor going crazy. All one big party. Monday the 4th Steve the aussie rejoined myself niamh and maeve on that morning. Hungover we lounged around for the day, packed our bags and said our goodbyes to crazy la paz. Sunday the 27th That night, there were a lot of people in the hostel that i knew from having met them in peru. It ended up being a big party night. Funny how all these people who you know for such a short time end up being your best friends for a few days. Drank in the hostel bar and then went to a night club to dance the night away. Monday the 21st July Last night out in cusco. Myself Oscar and Steve met up with a few of the irish and the Galway girls, Meave and Niamh and went crazy. Cusco is a dangerous place but a great place. Party central. I love it and miss it now actually. Tuesday the 22nd Hungover. Went back to jacks for a european style breakfast. The food here in peru and bolivia has been lovely but it is nice to have something more familiar every so often. Jacks in cusco is just the spot. Sunday the 20th July Just had to add these few photos of us eating guniea pig. In the restaurant the waiter, trying out his english, asked me "Are you dirty?". Saturday the 12th July That night went for a few beers in the bar that is in the hostel. A lively spot where people mingle freely. Ended up starting a drinking game with a few Irish lads. It got the show on the road. One of the lads was called Jason Melvin from Ballina, told him i had cousins in ballina and he said he knew them well. Went out into the town with those boys. Wednesday the 9th That evening Oscar decided to tag along on my trip for a while. A real peruvian (with a canadian accent in english). Tuesdy the 8th Oscar wantetd to bring me to an irish bar. I said i wanted to see the real peru but one beer in the irish bar couldnt hurt. So we went to the Irish bar. It turned out to be an English bar. I pointed out that Ireland and England were not the same thing. Came as quite a shock to him. Monday 7th July Took the continental flight from new york to lima in my flipflops. (I wouldnt mind but it is not even the first time i have lost my shoes). Sat beside a american baptist pastor who is a missionary in peru. Interesting guy, much more interesting than the poor films continental show despite his frequent use of "Jesus Christ" and "Christ our lord" as well as his bush lovin politics.
