I didnt get any cool photos of myself
Monday the 13th Myself and Erich arrived in Surfers Paradise and really just chilled out. Surfers paradise is a real beach resort type place. There are lots of high rise apartment buildings that people use as holiday homes. Close by there are a number of theme parks. But despite the name the surfing isnt all that great, well thats what the real surfers say. We sat on the beach for a while, went for some average italian dinner that evening and went to bed early.. Tuesday the 14th We caught a local bus to dreamworld a nearby theme park. Thomas the [View Full Entry]

The Fraser Island 4 by 4

Monday the 6th of October After only 4 hours sleep and a crazy weekend in Sydney I got up to catch the bus for the surfari, a surfing safari up the coast to Byron bay. I met the group and driver/surfing instructor at 7.45am. There were a group of seven people, Erich from switzerland, Rachael from Adelaide, Marusa from Slovenia, Thomas from Germany, Faith from Belfast and George her boyfriend from Scotland. I got on the bus after getting everyones name and then basically slept most of the 5 hour driver up to the surfing camp. They must have thought I [View Full Entry]

Tuesday the 30th of September After a good night sleep, which was well needed after a crazy tim in melbourne, i got up early to go Sailing. I had booked a two day sailing course in sydney harbour with a lady called Annie Bennet. I took a taxi up to where the course was as I had not a clue where I was going. I was staying south of the harbour but the course was at a place called Clontarf which is north of the harbour. The taxi took the Harbour tunnel and 25 minutes later we arrived at the marina. Melbourne Oceania » Australia » Victoria
Friday the 26th Packed my bags and said good bye to new zealand and took the flight from christchurch to Melbourne. As it turned out I probably picked the best weekend of the year to go to Melbourne. On saturday the grand final of the Aussie rules was on and on sunday there was a festival. When I got into melbourne I met Mickey Lynch, a mate from back home in Sligo, who is now living in Melbourne. He put me up for the weekend. We had some malaysian food and few beers afterwards but nothing too crazy. The area we [View Full Entry]

The poster in the skydive shop said "There is no such thing as TRY, there is only DO or DID NOT DO". The skydive was one of the most enjoyable experiences ive ever had. I cant wait to do another one. Wednesday the 17th Myself and peter decided to do a skydive Wednesday. But unfortunately the weather did not work out and the skydive got cancelled. When we realised the skydive was cancelled it was to late to go skiing. So it ended up being a waste of a day. So we bummed around queenstown, but with the weather not so [View Full Entry]

These lat few days the weather has improved and now new zealand has shown itself to be one of the most beautiful places in the world... Wednesday the 10th Myself and rob took a good few hours walking around wellington in the morning. Got myself the Official All blacks shirt as well as a big all blacks flag. Should come in handy at the Connaught final next year when we beat Galway. The town is way more impressive than Auckland in terms of layout, buildings and natural surroundings. After visiting the strange ugly beehive shaped parliament building and a few hours [View Full Entry]

September the 3rd The flight from Santiago to Auckland took off from Santiago at 23h00 and 13hours later landed in Auckland on Friday the 5th of September at 04h00. Crossing the international date line in the middle of the pacific meant that i didnt really have a 4th of september. Weird!!! After the meal and film on the flight I slept for a full 8 hours which was great. Friday, September the 5th After the 8 hours sleep I woke up at what would have been 10.30am in chile. However it was 2.30am new zealand time. The plane landed at 4am [View Full Entry]

Santiago, Chile South America » Chile
Monday the 1st September Arrived in Santiago at about 11am after the over night bus from sorno. The bus was a cama bus (meaning fulling reclinable seats with leg rest) and usuall y i slepp pretty well on these but due to the shoulder i was pretty uncomfortable through the night. So by the time i got to santiago i was wrecked. But a shower in the hostel woke me up a bit and after a pasta lunch it was time to say good bye to Steve. I met steve about a week into my time in south america and have [View Full Entry]

Tuesday the 26th Bariloche is a really pretty town on the edge of a lake in the argentinian andes. Accross the lake you can see snow capped mountains, really beautiful when the sun is shining. One funny thing about the town is that it has loads of chocolate shops all with handmade chocolate. And my god is the chocolate good with a cup of coffee. Ate in an incredible steak house that night. This is my last stop in argentina so i need to get in as much steak as i can for this week hence im coming back here most [View Full Entry]

Monday the 18th to Monday the 25th of August This entry will not be split into different days, mainly because i dont really remember on which day each event happened. This lack of memory is mainly due to the fact that for one full week i was not really myself or more precisely i have never felt normal. For 7 days I have been one of the following a) drunk b) hungover c) really tired d) starving e)stuffed like a pig, never normal. Each night consisted of going out partying somewhere, each day consisted of getting up really hungover and trying [View Full Entry]
