Things I have learn about life from China: Changzhou: 1.If a company hires you without an interview and without contacting you, you should be suspicious. 2.If someone needs to be paid a lot in order to find you a job, you should be suspicious. 3.If you have to sign a contract, you might be getting screwed. Beijing: 4.If a school requires little to no qualifications or experience, you should be suspicious. 5.People who leave the US to work at a school that requires little to no qualifications are: drunks, deadbeats, former drug addicts and high school drop-outs. 6.If the hard-ass condescending manager of the native English teachers at your school is a guy from Syria, with an accent, pretending to be Canadian, that has been learning English for 6 years, you should be suspicious. 7.If a ... read more

Christmas break was great and taking care of a friends dog for a bit was fun too, another co-woker has a cat and she watched the dog for me for half the time :) The cat and dog loved each other, and fought a lot. I have included some pictures. Also we visited the bird nest olmpic stadium during a snow festival thing but accidently bought tickets that only allowed us to in and look at the snow festival, not play in the snow.... China loves doing that. I have two classes going right now at school, a first grade class with 12 kids, youngest is 7 and oldest is 10. Things are going great, work is fun and soon I get a ton of paid days off. I am really loving my apartment on the 29th floor, I can see the bird's nest Olympic stadium when it is clear out.
