HI Everyone First I apoolgise for the unfinished sentence at the end of the last blog - blame it on the heat. The Internet place in Scario was so hot that I was just dripping and Stacey tried to help me put photos on but we gave up and had to get David to do it when he got back to England. However I forgot to ask him to save rather than publish the blog so you got the unfinished version. Now we are in Dubai and I am sitting in the business centre in our hotel, at a proper desk [View Full Entry]

Hello everyone from our little bit of paradise It usually takes me a while to get to publish my blogs but I must tell about this wonderful little place. As many of you are aware we planned a week in a villa with Stacey and David and their partners - this being their 60th birthday present to us both and it has been 18 months in the planning. There was certain criteria to be met in choosing the villa e.g. pool, view of the sea, 3 double bedrooms, budget constaints etc so this took a bit of searching at the time. [View Full Entry]

Hello again We are currently back in London after our quick trip around Ireland with Stacey. It was great to have her along with us as she tended to research areas more than we might do and, as she was always able to get Ian to do what she wanted, we probably saw more places of interest, particularly ruined castles etc for which she seems to have an affinity We started with 2 nights in Dublin where we stayed in an hotel that was rather like a rabbit warren - we had to go through 6 doors between the reception area [View Full Entry]

Well I think I have finally got this sorted so that I can get started on this blog to keep you all up to date on our trip so far. What can I say about a long haul flight apart from that they are a pain that one has to endure to get to this side of the world. But what is it about me that people want to frisk me at airports!! Twice - at Brisbane and Dubai!! Do I look like a bomb suspect?? Are those extra rolls around my middle rather suspicious?? Singapore was hot, pristine and orderly [View Full Entry]
