I just got caught up on all your notes - I am SO jealous - this place looks like a dream. Hopefully all the bad days are behind you now. We may request that you stay longer so that we can live vicariously through you!
I "with" you were here too! Kevin thinks that the picture of the child vender is amazing. You should send it in to travel mag. I love you. I'm glad to see you are having a good time.
Menu Ideas After reading your last Blog, I have changed my mind on you bring back menu ideas. I hope you took notes on how to open a fresh coconut for the locals. Because when you get back, I would like you to teach the staff. Can you see annie using a machette(?) in the dinning room? (Still waiting for cookies. LOL). Hope you are enjoying your trip. Blog again soon.

Awesome pics! I wasn't going to say anything, BUT, since Marcia brought it up, why don't you use spell check? ( :
Regardless of the typos, I'm really enjoying reading your experiences. Hopefully you'll have a new camera soon!

RE: Bad Day What could be more unfortunate than losing your camera on a trip of a lifetime like this one! The saltwater will probably do a number on that camera. Hope you can figure out something so you can get more pics on this trip. Am enjoying your blogs. Keep it up.
See you in 3 weeks, Loretta
things will get better David, I'm so sorry about the camera and the air conditioner, coverter, etc. I think I probably would have just set down and cried. As though that would fix everything.
I was so looking forward to pictures. Maybe you can get us some. Wish you could get another camera or get that one dried out. Things have got to get better for you. I just pray that you are careful, watchful and safe. If it becomes...not fun....come home. Enjoying your journal entries...just praying for better days for you.

Bequia Dave,
I'm sorry, I just today discovered your message. Thanks for your help. I did make the 6:00 ferry to Bequia, so I didn't get to stay on St V. I'm beginning day three here on the island and would welcome any advise you have to give me. I'm traveling alone, so I am having difficulty finding ways to fill the days. This is definitely the slow season. Not many visitors here.
Thanks again,
David
Following you Hey David,
I subscribed to your blog and am following your trip. What an experience. Can't wait to see all the pics and read your journals.
Bequie looks beautiful from the pictures I look at on the internet.
Keep the info coming. Be safe, have fun and we love you.

Glad that you made your destination. I am enjoying your online journal. I always try to journal when I travel.
Have fun. Be safe.
Sent with a hug and a prayer.

St Vincent Hotel The best little hotel in St Vincent is the Cobblestone Inn. Usually about $75 a night and 3 blocks from the ferry dock to go to Bequia.
Their number is: 784/456-1937

If you are flying to St Vincent fron San Juan you are probably on Liat. That flight arrives in St Vincent @ 5:50. During the week there are both 6:00 and 7:00 ferries to Bequia so you should not have problem. Call Ken Abraham to pick you up at the airport and take you to the Ferry Dock. Ken is at: 784-455-6238.

Bequia Hey David,
Glad you are going to make it to Bequia. Have you been before? I now have a house down there and just returned myself. Let me know if you need any ideas etc... I have been going to Bequia for the last 15 years.

Every man comes to a point in his life where he craves an adventure. Some climb Everest, or make a cross country journey, or sail around the world. For me my "Island Adventure" begins July 29th when I travel to the island of Bequia for 24 days.
The first question out of everyone's mouth when they here about my adventure is: "Why Bequia and where is it?"
Bequia (pronounced Beck-way) is located in the far southern part of the Caribbean almost to Venezuela. It's part of the island state of St Vincent and the Grenadines which is an independent part of the British Commonwealth. The islan... full info
