East Coast Australia Road-Trip

Having survived our six-week road-trip together on the West Coast of Australia last year, Linda and I immediately set our sights on a follow-up trip up the East Coast as soon as money and circumstances would allow. After six months spent living in Perth was followed by a month-long European holiday to spend Christmas with Linda's family in Germany, we arrived in Melbourne at the beginning of the year and set about saving and preparing not only for our next holiday, but also a very costly and time-consuming visa application - one that will hopefully allow Linda to stay in Australia with me permanently.

Nine months down the track, with our visa application presumably sitting inside someone's desk draw at the Department of Immigration and our time in Melbourne finally coming to an end, it's time to shake off the blues of a Melbourne winter by throwing all of our possessions in the back of a Wicked Van and hitting the open road again... this time giving ourselves a full two months to explore the East Coast of Australia, all the way from Melbourne back up to Cairns where Linda and I first met two years ago. Let's just hope we get a slightly less ugly campervan to do it in this time...!
