The three groups are federal, provincial or territorial, and municipal. The role of each group is important in its own way and all have their own responsibilities. The federal group has the responsibilities of the countries defence, criminal laws, trade regulations, transportation, and money. The provincial or territorial group involve property and civil rights, education, and health and welfare.
