So yesterday, Emily and I went on the Bondi to Coogee walk. It is a walk along the coast from Bondi Beach to Coogee beach. Emily and I walked it from Coogee to Bondi which was a workout because it was uphill the whole way! It was very beautiful though and a really fun time. Enjoy the pictures! Tuesday night Jenna, her friends Rachel and Wynter, Emily and I went and saw Hamlet at the Opera House. It was a really good show although it was pretty long. The opera house was actually pretty old inside but it was really cool to walk outside and see the beautiful Harbor Bridge. My future plans are New Zealand tomorrow until July 11th then home the 13th late at night. Then, I'll probably sleep for the next two days ... read more

So this has taken forever for me to post this but late is better than never! So this month Jenna, my flatmate, and I went to the Whitsunday Islands. These are Islands south of Cairns and north of Brisbane. They are absolutly beautiful! We went there for 5 days and 6 nights. The first night we got in really late so we just went out to a bar called Magnums (giggle) that was nice because everything was outside! It was so nice to be oustide of Sydney and in a lot better weather. The weather was like 70s and really really REALLY humid! It was nice though. The second day we went to our campsite at the Adventure Whitsundays Big 4 Caravan Park. It was a really nice park!We took the public buses there which were ... read more

Day 98 It’s really hard to believe that I have been here for 98 days! Insane! It has gone by so fast too, however, I am excited to go home too. Things haven’t been too eventful lately, jut going out on the weekends and homework during the week. We did go to the Sydney Aquarium last Sunday which was nice. I am really excited for the near future though because we are going to the Whitsunday Islands to snorkel at the Great Barrier Reef, camp on the beach, kayak and sun bathe. Even more exciting than that is New Zealand! I will be doing a 13 day tour to both islands and then returning back to Sydney and then flying home. I am pretty much counting down the days to these trips because school is lame! ... read more

So, Jenna and I took a trip to Melbourne and The Great Ocean Road. It was amazing!!! First, our flight left really early so we had to get up at 4:00am and when we got to Melbourne it was 7:30am. We picked up our sweet rental car and headed off for the great ocean road. It was amazing! So Beautiful! Some of the best places were 12 apostles, the grotto, the blowhole and random beaches. Then, we spent the night in a hostel in Warrnambool. In Warnambool we found a really great café that had the best fried food (which we def needed!). The hostel was bad though because we were in a 16 bed. Even though there were only like 9 people in there, the American guys staying there were really annoying and loud and ... read more

So, sorry that I haven’t written in a long time!! So lots to get you caught up on. We had Easter break a little while ago which was a week long. Emily and I decided to rent a car and travel up the east coast. We ended up camping in caravan parks with our little $25 tent and got attacked by a lot of possums, but it was def an experience. The first day Emily drove us through the city (and we actually lived and didn’t hit anything) to hunter valley which is about an hour and a half north. This was good so she could get used to driving on the wrong side of the car and the road. We set up our tent and slept for the first night. In the morning we awoke ... read more

So, sorry I have been slacking! So I have been really busy doing a lot of great things! Jenna, Emily and I took a day trip to the Blue Mountains and it was SO beatifu! I haven't hiked since I was like in girl scouts so it was really hard at first, but it was an amazing trip. Also, the tour guide introduced us to some great Australian hip hop so for a good time download: The Hilltop Hoods Nosebleed Section It's great! Also download The Potbelleez Don't Hold Back. It's a really good dance song. So that was an added bonus. Make sure to check out the pics and I will try to put one or two on here! So, I went to Adelaide on Wednesday to visit and to go to Kangaroo Island. Adelaide ... read more

Day 23 So yesterday and today I ended up going to Manly Beach because I only had one class each day. That was pretty much awesome. Also, Andreas (the swede) left today so that is sad  He is off to the US later so hopefully that will be fun for him! As far as classes go, I think that they are going be alright, a little different teaching style though. There is a lot more writing and essays than in traditional American business classes, but they seem to care a lot more about the individual worker here than just making money. I have only gone to 4 classes this week because classes have 1 lecture and 1 tutorial with each class. This week we don’t have tutorials so it’s pretty sweet. Next week it becomes ... read more

March 2nd 2008

Day 20 So yesterday was Mardi Gras (gay and lesbian) which was amazing! First, Jenna and I went out to the mall to find something to wear. We tried on TONS of stuff but nothing was fitting in the bust area so I asked the girl who worked there and she was like yeah, Australians are pretty flat chested…. Awesome… I think I’m going to have a hard time finding clothes here. Well I finally found a $5 top that I was sure I wasn’t going to wear (but ended up wearing it anyways) and Jenna found some cute pink tights. So we got ready and hung out at the apt for a while. Our roommates who don’t speak a lot of English even came down and hung out! Then, we took the bus downtown and ... read more

Day 16 So today since we have a whole week left before classes begin, we decided to travel around a little bit. We went to the zoo the other day and decided to travel to Wollongong for a one night trip. We took the train there which was really nice and surprisingly not that expensive ($20 round trip for 1 ½ hr trip) so that was good. Only problem was that when we arrived there was a crazy storm. We met a really cute old couple on the train and they said that there has been really weird weather and that it had rained more in the past week then it had in the past month… prefect. So we decided to settle into our hostel and go to a Mexican restaurant (yea!) and to see a ... read more

So today I went to the Taronga Zoo in Sydney with Jenna (one of my new roommates), Emily and Andreas (the swede). It was a lot of fun! It was a really nice zoo, although somewhat expensive to get into. We of course saw kangaroos, koala bears, snakes and lizards. It was a nice day but tons of walking! Last night we just hung out at our apartment had some dinner and made some plans since I have a whole week before school starts. We are planning to go to Wollongong tomorrow (thanks jade!) and stay one night, then to Manly beach (i mean if I'm here I'm going to the beach as much as I can.. I've already been three times in 2 weeks) and stay the night there one night then spend the next ... read more
