Day 8 So today was a really great day! First off no orientation so that was amazing! I had the day to myself so me and the swede decided to go to Manly beach because so many people told us how nice it was. It is kind of far away so we had to take a bus, a train and a ferry but the ferry was great. The ferry was almost like a tour. Day 6 Today I had orientation for the school…lame.. I mean it sucks anyways and then it was for international students. Really lame… First off like 70% were US. I did not come to Australia to meet americans… also a lot of east coast attitude and cliques… I hope when classes start I can meet new friendly people and not just cliquey, snoddy americans… I have meet some cool people, don’t get me wrong, but the overall feel was judgmental and lame. Day 3 It is amazing what a day can do! OMG I tell you what, I feel soooooo much better. Orientation was a little rough because there is a lot to do and a lot to learn. Day 2 So I had a really good nights rest and feel a lot better today. I still am emotionally unstable. Every time I think about Steven or home I want to cry and every time I write an email I cry. In fact right now I just cried a little. It is like automatic. It is also embarrassing, but oh well. I decided to go to the university today. Day 1 So my last day in the states was anything but good. First off it was like a blizzard outside. Negative wind chills and awful driving conditions. Steven and I got into a fight on Saturday so I ended up going home on Saturday night instead of Sunday morning. Luckily, though. The weather was awful. Hi! I am almost ready to go! I leave on Sunday and after a long-----long flight I will be in beautiful Sydney, Australia... which seems pretty unreal to me right now. I know that I will miss my friends so much and IU and little 5 :( but I am sure this trip will be amazing! I am rather nervous because I have never flown by myself or have lived in another country.
