Interest Points from La Palma, Mich.
I am from La Palma, and you most know many points of La Palma for example: El Cerrito Loco. ( The crazy mont )La Haciendita etc. The Cerrito loco you can find caverns and holes the prehispanic time and much more. If you hava an oportunity go to cerrito loco and when y are hungry visit the Malecon Restaurant and order Hueva al horno. ( Its like salm on eggs but the taste is totaly diferent, very rich plate. Greetings cordialy Salvador.

Well they certainly can dress up!
I showed the photos to my little ones at school and they thought the children were very 'cool'. A real pick me up to see those happy faces. Keep the blogs coming. Looking forward to the next history bit from your holiday down south.

Thanks for your comment - yes Sahuayo isn't much of a tourist destination, but it is a pretty city. No I haven't considered writing elsewhere really. My blogs are for my own pleasure and keeping relatives and friends informed of what I'm doing... uh, when I write them on time that is!

Beautiful!
That was a fantastic read, thank you! Great photos too! I've never been to Cristo Rey before, but reading your blog made me start looking at airplane tickets! ;-) Have you considered writing reviews on other travel sites like trivago? I always feel that personal stories like this one tell so much more about a place!

It was only 45 hours!
Well Anna you certainly took your time getting there. I know you like your tea but arranging to spend a night in Houston just to savour the Earl Grey in the morning was a bit out of o your schedule. Lovely write up as usual and I'm glad it wasn't me running those corridors. At least it wasn't as bad as 'Hell on a small boat on an endless sea!'
15th March 2010

Yeah teaching's going well thanks. Unfortunately not a huge amount of time for writing blogs or travelling! Still... two weeks until the Easter hols. :)

Hi. If by the 'Leopard's Den' you mean the Wild at Heart house and surrounding area, then it is the Glen Afric county lodge. Here is the website: http://www.glenafric.co.za/index.htm It has all contact details and information on it. :)

Yes India is an incredible country and will always be one of my favourite places. I love the Lotus Temple - so serene and peaceful there. It's just a shame this time I had such a short time for sightseeing I couldn't spend longer there.
17th February 2010

I've visited India this summer, and i want to say that i'm so glad to see pics of Lotus temple, where i went with my indian friends! so much feelings and emotions fulfill my heart. Most of all i lived in South India, but I liked north too. well i love India with its magical spices, traditional sarees - it has something that makes you feel like you are in fairy-tale..)

Glen Afric is near to Hartbeespoort Dam. It is approximately 20 minutes away from Pretoria and 40 from Johannesburg. You would easily be able to do it as a day trip from either city. Hope that helps!
