I should be there!! How do the irish celebrate the 4th of July?? Ha! I was on Whidbey for a couple of days, told some old high school friends about your journey, they were so happy for you, we will all live vicariously through your travels. Enjoy, you guys look so very happy. Love ya, Geri
The yin and the yang.... Hey, the good news is you two offer balance to each other. Sara, you offer the structure and order it takes to enjoy a new place and I think you definitely will make sure you both see the cultural high points throughout your trip. Bryan you offer the spontaneous optimism to find and enjoy the "other realities" of a place; things you definitely won't find in the guide books. We eagerly await your next installment of this memorable trip. Thank you for letting us live fully and vicariously through each of your adventures! We love you!
Enjoy to the fullest! Sara,
I hope you two have a blast on your travels. It sounds like you are off to a good start. I've heard that beer is served at room temperator (without ice!) in some places. Ughh! Is this true? Maybe folks have to develop a taste for it. I prefer mine ice-cold, I guess I'll stay in the states. ;-) Mike
Dublin entry Hi, Sara, So nice to get this entry today! Dublin sounds wonderfully interesting, and it also sounds like you are having a great time! Love the pictures!
You're doing fine Hi - you are "coming in" loud and strong. I"m enjoying your journal. Mary gave me the heavy box of (ugh!) books. Have a safe trip. Sam

Ireland again! I remember getting letters from you on your year as nanny! Oh what an adventure Sara, I'll be following vicariously. Someone once told me before I left on a big adventure...'the world is your mirror', just something to ponder. Hugs from Alaska.

Thanks for the update and pictures It will be fun getting updates from your trip. I will be looking forward to it . I agree with Susan. Change can be a good thing. By you doing this, you have opened my eyes to exploring new adventures with my family.
God be with you.

Change, it's a good thing! :) Dear Big Blue Eyes,
Even though I've been following right along with you since the beginning of your preparation, it's still hard for me to comprehend you are actually going to be away for the next year... Wow! No more lunch buddy, or just popping into my office, or your classroom anytime of the day, no more dialing 5867 to just chit chat, or sending each other emails throughout the day. You've been such a "given" in my daily routine at Wilson for the past 4 years. It will be quite an adjustment. But on the flip side, how thrilling to be able to experience the world through your adventureous eyes. Thank goodness we were raised in a family that believes change is a good thing. How wonderful it is to know that you will be spending the next year with someone that believes in the same thing. And to know that Marina will be able to spend an entire year of "Daddy time." It makes me happy to know that you can look forward to your future with a smile on your face.
I do love you, lots and lots...
Little Shrimp (a.k.a. your little sis!)
Good Luck Good Luck to you both. Will miss you next year in Susan's office, but will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for a safe journey. Can't wait to see more pictures and follow the adventure through your experiences. Take care, Chrissy
