Morning all! We arrived in Queenstown late on Sunday evening after a pretty incredible drive from Dunedin. I feel like we're starting to repeat ourselves with how amazing the scenery and views are; but i defy anyone on their first or even a hundredth visit to New Zealand to be any different, simply put its breathtaking. We parked the van up by a lake in a much more busy looking town than either Christchurch or Dunedin has looked so far, (we've since learnt that it holds more bars per capita than anywhere in New Zealand). we found an awesome little Irish bar and proceeded to spend an enjoyable hour drinking guiness and watching wales lose, always a favorite past time of mine. The next part of this blog will be given over to explaining in accurate ... read more

Dunedin is quality. Watched a distinctly average England performance yesterday followed by what can only be described as one of the best nights I have ever had. Having a couple of drinks in a bar on the main square and none other than 9 England players came along. Apparently Tindal also agrees than Sharples should be here. And when asked if he makes the lads call him Prince, he casually replies "Nah, just Lord" and sees off the rest of his pint, before scratching his twisted stump of a nose triumphantly. But before all that we had a drive down to here from Christchurch, choosing a route that was slightly ... read more

Morning, evening, afternoon or what ever it actually is wherever you are! Ive fully given up trying to understand what time it is here having been in 4 different times zones in the last 30 hours. We have been travelling for 3 days give or take a few time differences and have finally arrived in christchurch.......which doesnt appear to actually exist anymore. The whole area is a whole lot more earthquake damaged than i think me or andy ever thought to predict. It is impossible to get within half a mile of the city centre, to the point that any unfortunate wanderings into fenced off areas apparently result in un-negotiable 3 months jail sentences. I think me and Andy really enjoyed travelling to get here as each stage allowed us a brief insight into places we're ... read more

Welcome to entry one! This is just really to update our profile to 'Blogger' status so you can search us in the Bloggers bit if you don't know our URL. I'm guessing you've either done that and found us, courtesy of this blog, or you already knew our URL and came straight here, in which case this blog wasn't necessary for you. But for those that found us via the search panel, welcome! For those that knew our URL, it was probably because you got sent an invite, which in turn probably means you know either me or Jeppy and therefore don't need a formal greeting. S'up. This is the place to come for some (family friendly!) accounts of what we're getting up to for the next 10 months. The insurance is sorted, the jobs are ... read more
