Morning, evening, afternoon or what ever it actually is wherever you are! Ive fully given up trying to understand what time it is here having been in 4 different times zones in the last 30 hours.

We have been travelling for 3 days give or take a few time differences and have finally arrived in christchurch.......which doesnt appear to actually exist anymore.

The whole area is a whole lot more earthquake damaged than i think me or andy ever thought to predict. It is impossible to get within half a mile of the city centre, to the point that any unfortunate wanderings into fenced off areas apparently result in un-negotiable 3 months jail sentences.

I think me and Andy really enjoyed travelling to get here as each stage allowed us a brief insight into places we're visiting later on;

- The brief stop off in singapore resulting in poolside-rooftop beers.
- The ascent out of Sydney allowing a glorious 5am view of the Sydney harbour bridge and opera house.
- And finally the descent into New Zealand showing some spectacular views of the New Zealand Alps.

The plan was to ignore any idea of Jet lag, our joint opinion being that having just graduated from student life any idea of a body clock shouldnt struggle with losing a day or two in transit. Im typing this at half 6 in the evening New Zealand time (I'm told) and i can barely hold my eyes open, whilst Andy is snoring into his second pint, so i think we must admit defeat - jet lag wins - Goodnight people!
