Octopii How's the exotic food, like octopii and squid...oops, I mean calamari. Sounds better than squid. Hope you're enjoying the touristy stuff and seeing lots of beautiful sunsets. Maybe even a sunrise?! (I suppose you'll only see a sunrise if you happen to stay up all night, not much chance you'll actually get up early to see it). I'm travelling with you...in my mind. Right now, we're on the beach with the crystal clear water. Hope you're getting in lots of vacation time on the beaches, and getting to learn some of the lingo. Enjoy! Love ya lots, Mom
Walkin' & Cruisin' Hi Andrea, sounds like you're having my kind of holiday...lots of walking, and cruising/ferrying to the islands. Sounds heavenly. I think that jewelry is always something good to get from your visits. Maybe you could collect earrings or charms (ya know, for charm bracelets). Well, at least they don't take up a lot of room in your backpack. Maybe you get some cds with traditional music. Enjoy the islands...Love, Mom
McDee's Andrea! sounds like you are having a fab time, and im glad to hear you are sticking with the MIT tradition and not giving into the McDonaldization of the world! hahaha love you!
xoxo

Andrea, have you seen any of those il le bella bon knomes?? Hey hun!
Wow, it has been some time since we;ve chatted. Now your off in Europe. Thats incredible! I hope you have a great time and i am sure you will make the most of every moment. I have been reading all your posts. Enjoy Athens!
You Stole my trip! Hey andrea,
I so totally know what that ferry ride is like because I slept on it, to and from greece on my trip through Europe and the Pink Palace on Corfu- I went there too... You are totally hitting up the best places. I remember the plate smashing and the fires by the beach at night- those are the moments you'll always keep with you- right now there's soo much hitting you but when it sets you'll be so amazed with how for one month you got to live life- and in the past way possible- as a traveller. Anyways if you're looking for a break from the city and you need a bit of a spiritual retreat- which you prolly don't have time for- but do it anyways and go to a place called Meteora- at the base of which is Kalambaka. Meteora is this awe-inspiring place with gravity defying monstaries on the tops of cliffs- cliffs that seem to just rise right out of the ground and monstaries that have no bussiness being on top of them. You can visit the different monastaries and just look around. This place is as off the beaten track as you can get and is worht the one day trip from greece if you can do it. Make sure to find time in greece to eat lamb!!! can't remmber what your food preferences are like but just do it! Finally, If you truly want the traveller's experience I suggest buying, if you haven't already, the book "On the Road" by Jack Kerouac, for those long train rides. Kay keep on rockin' and savory every last moment!
Paulo
Andrea what a great idea this blog thing is....I must admit I look every day or so for where you are travelling and what you are seeing.
[Haz I might just have to travel with you in a couple of years - to chaperone or something]
Finally! Yah, Andrea. Glad to hear from you. I wasn't sure what country you were in or where exactly. I thought you might have gone to Pompeii, but it appears that you went right to the ferry on Friday. Keep in touch. We love hearing from you! Mom
You did it! Hey hunny, I'm glad to hear that you made it be safe and have a ton of fun. I'll be checking in on you to see all of the things I'm missing out on....I know I shoulda saved a long time ago. Love you.
The POPE!? Ah, I am so jealous!!
You must be having so much fun!
Did you see anyone you knew on the Spanish Steps?
Me neither.
Anyways, I have some good news and I'm going to write you an email after I finish my essay.. aha Have a wonderful day tomorrow!:) I love you!
Ahhh, Roma! Sounds magnificent! I close my eyes and pretend I'm there with you. I vote we get lost in the Vatican museum for 12 years...Looking forward to seeing those pics. Love ya, Mom
... ...well I can think of one place to sit and hang out in Canada... Barney's!!!!!! Patio season is in full swing here, and London eagerly awaits your return! Happy to hear you're not drinking by yourself! Have tons o' fun babe!
Ciao Hey Andrea, just thought I'd say hello. I've been following the trip, it sounds great, I can't wait to go back. By the time you see this I'm sure you'll have seen Vatican City, I'm sure you'll love it. Have a good time.
sounds great! Hey Andrea...just was reading up to see where you have been so far. it sounds like your having a great time and im so jealous that you are there and im doing nothing this summer! Keep having fun!
Hey Andrea, sounds like you're having a blast. I'm taking notes so that when I go to Europe, I can see some of this stuff myself. You're trip sounds awesome so far, except for the three hours in line (ick). Can't wait to hear about the rest of it!
Pope Andrea Wow. You really have "let Jesus into your life"! Can't believe it. Roma must be an incredible place. Glad to hear that you love the Yellow-ness of the hostel. It sounded like a good place...I'll be honest, the free brekkie was enticing and if you're going to a Pub Crawl, might as well have a group from the hostel. Not the same doing a pub crawl by yourself. Enjoy it. Love, Mom
Weird thing...so one of my friends was looking at my pictures on my msn space today...she lives in Vancouver...anyway, she says you guys went to elementary school together...do you remember Lina Miller???
How weird is that?!!!
Sounds like you are having a fab time Andrea! So jealous right now...my 'rents just got back from Italy yesterday...they were Firenze, Roma and Venezia!!! Its definitely my turn soon!
Well I'm off to Boston in two weeks though! Anyway, keep us updated kiddie!!!
from Sophie
wow... you certainly did a whirlwind tour of London...but you will be back so if there's anyone (er...anyTHING) you missed out on, you can see it then. Are you flying to Italia? What is the weather like? Are you having to lug your pack everywhere you go? And so Dan was your travel buddy for England? How are you finding the people? Are they warm and friendly???? Things are looking promising ... I may have a job working for Eddie Bauer!?! Miss you lotsa!
Was great seeing you again Hey Andrea. Was fun seeing you again, even if it was a bit wierd for both of us. Have a good trip through Europe. I will be jealous the whole time. As soon as you left England you took the sunny weather with you and I've been getting soaked since leaving the airport! See you in another 5 years... :P
