Happy for you beyond words!!!!!! Hello My Brother, I am so happy for you that you have finally been "granted" whatever piece of paper you have needed and can hop on that plane tonight. I'll be praying every chance I get today that your driver brings that car, with gas, and on time! Praying for your safety, courage, and good reflexes until you're on U.S. soil tomorrow evening. Doesn't that sound wonderful, TOMORROW EVENING! I only wish I could be there to welcome you home. I will settle for air hugs and be happy just knowing you and Kamina are safe at last! Love you much, Cathy P.S. Talking with you the other day was awesome. You sounded great, even though it was an extremely stressful day, but then, you're used to those days by now, aren't you. Wishing you many, many less stressful days to come! God bless your journey home! :)
YEAH KEITH!!!!!! I know the journey has been long and hard, but the blessings outweigh the struggles. There's no testimony with the test!!! I'm praying for traveling grace for you and Kamina!!! You are awesome!!
Praise be to God! "...fear not, for I am with you, be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand." Isaiah 41:10 I shared this with Rachel on Friday as the good news really seemed to be true and we awaited THE END. Praise be to God!!!!

Also, Penn State won again...2-0 baby!

AMEN! Keep all the papers you'll need to show authorities in an easily accessible but very safe place, and then just enjoy the flight home. Try to sleep most of the way, but good luck with a toddler on board! Ha! Loves ya, little brother. You're awesome!
Woooohoooo!!!!! Keith and Rachel, I'm SO happy for you!!!!! You both worked so incredibly hard to get through this. Someday Kamina will know the full story of how much God and her parents love her!
Safe travels. Lots of prayers go with you! - Mary
Tears of Joy Keith, Rachel and Kamina I am crying tears of joy. God has answered all our prayers. Your journey has touched more lives than you know. My daily routine has been to check on you and my daily prayers have always started with pleas for your victory and safety. Cannot wait to meet Kamina. God bless all who have gone through this journey with you.
Loving you...and missing you... We had some family time on Labor Day, but to be honest we were sure missing and thinking about you and that beautiful little girl. Hope all is well and that you will both be home shortly...travel safely my friend and God Bless YOU BOTH...the Rader Family...
second one! Hope you find this funny...while I was reading this entry to jon, he was also working on his computer. Alas...not being a good listener and he heard the part where you wrote " I've purchased a second one while here..." He stopped and said, "another baby??"
Wouldn't that be a deal...two for one!
Love to you two!
praying you home Praying this home stretch is almost done, and for things to go smoothly. And praying it is just days until you and Kamina are home with Rachel. Praying and burning many candles and sending love, the Hills
You're in the home stretch!!! Just think it's your last Monday to be away from home, next Monday you'll be sleeping in your own bed! In a matter of days all that is "common day to day operations" will be at your finger tips...except it will now be a new sort of common as a family gets to bond. We are forever thankful that you are safe and Kamina has found good parents who love her enough to look the devil in the eye and know that God has a plan!!! Stay strong, I can only imagine how hard this ending will be be for you, the good byes, the long flight, the waiting to get home...but know we are ALL sending you our love and prayers. God speed Keith!
Outta there! Keith, when I'm making this entry it's 7:44 a.m. here in Hampton, Virginia, so it should be after 12:00 where you are, and since you were supposed to be at your meeting at 10:00, you should be on your way home now!!!! Yea! And for all you wonderful people who have journeyed with my brother through prayers, thoughts, wishes, etc., let me echo my sister Cathy's great big "THANK YOU" for being there with him in whatever way you were able. I'd also like to ask that all of you who get to be with him when he gets home to give him a great big hug for me too! Loves ya Keith, Rachel and Kamina Marie!!!
Great Food, Friends & Lots of Prayers Keith, Spent the day with family and friends and we all ate too much, laughed to much and we did drink but in moderation. Then we had prayers for all of Loved one who were not with us and a very special Prayer for you and your family. Praying you will be home in just a few short days.
Love, Hugs and Prayers until you return.
Time to get the heck out of Dodge! Hello my brother, It's around 7:00 a.m. Monday here. I think I've been told you're about 7 hours or so ahead of us here in the Burgh. That puts your time around 2:00 p.m., right now. Soooooooo, tomorrow morning, at this time in Pittsburgh, you will already have received the "go ahead" from "The One High Ranking Official" where you are and you will hopefully be heading for the airport! I hope you made that sock puppet, 'cause you're going to need something to entertain that little one on the plane(s). I love you much, Keith. Godspeed. Still praying. Love, Cathy P.S. I'll be baking those biscottis today and with any luck, they'll be there in KC when you get home! :)
Yay!!! Keith, so glad to hear you and Rachel will soon be reunited AND she'll finally get her hands on that baby. : ) My honey, Mike, and I are praying for the three of you. Safe travels and I can't wait to meet Miss Kamina! Hope to see you soon. - Mary
Hey Keith, I hope some of my suggestions have helped you pass the time with Kamina. Sorry to say, I haven't been able to come up with any more ideas. I'll keep trying. Hope you enjoyed your excursion to the river yesterday and you didn't have any close encounters with any gators or snakes! Praying the next few days speed by for you, and you continue to stay safe. Love ya much, Cathy
Thanks to you all! I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for anything you may have done to help my brother, Keith, through his long, awesome journey. We all know the power of prayer and thanks to all of you, and the grace of God, he's almost on that plane home with his little girl. Whether you've written emails and letters, made phone calls, donated money, prayed for his safe keeping, etc., etc., etc. - thanks to all of you. You are all very lucky to have him in your lives, and he's obviously very lucky to have all of you for friends. Since I can't be there in person, I would like anybody who reads this to please give him an extra hug from me. Thank you. :) As you can imagine, we miss him terribly back here. Take care all, Cathy
Love you guys I keep you two and Rachel close in my heart and prayers all of the time. I lift you up in Christ and pray for safety and for you and Kamina to be home. I can't wait to have a play date and share in your joy when you guys get home. You all are loved by so many. I think you are touching lives there. I am so grateful to know you both and blessed. Blessings, Shanie
the great American Hero I've been thinking about you and Kamina all day. Its been such an emotional journey! You are a rock! A man of great power...disipline, faith, hope, love and the mind set to keep it together. To be in one of the worst places in the world, where people lie, cheat and steal over and over and over and care nothing about the person standing in front of them. Where they leave their own children, naked and hungry, leaving them to die. You have faced so many things, told and mostly untold. I am honored to call you friend, brother, savior. What you have gone through is life changing, unforgettable, and a true walk of faith. You, Rachel, Mitch and Kamina are a family...you have battled every storm imaginable. You take from those times of dispair, rise up and continue to battle whatever life throws at you. You truly are inspiring, you are an action hero. A hero who saved the life of a beautiful child, who brought maybe just a little hope to the people of the Congo. You've made all of us stronger, in faith, hope, and love. We love you! Dkross fam..xo
I will be traveling to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (formerly Zaire), leaving July 1st 2009 and anticipating returning August 3rd 2009.
Rachel and I have decided to adopt a baby girl from an orphanage in Kamina DRC.
