aussie life is tough!
how dare you say we're the lucky ones? jeez! the batteries of my remote ran out yesterday and i had to GET UP to change the channel! it was disastrous! oh dear im a terrible person, certainly going to hell. but dont worry, i got new batteries, so its ok... cant believe your a anchor. and also cant believe that guys name, hahaha funniest name ever.

A great blog
Hello Alice, I enjoy reading your blogs a lot. I’ve visited Bali many times and it’s good to hear about other parts of Indonesia too. I agree that there’s a lot of poverty in Indonesia, but I disagree that the solution should come from abroad only. I think Indonesia has this many resources, be it man power or natural resources, that I don’t think the more than 230 million Indonesian should be relying on 20 million Australians. The Indonesians should help themselves. There are this many talented people in Indonesia, that if they get a decent government, they can solve their problems themselves. It just takes time, and a change of attitude.

you poor poor thing! thats horrible to have happened to you only whilst you have been there such a short time.. just remember that it happens in melbourne all the time and we dont think about it here, so dont let it burden you in any way. it sounds like your having such an amazing time.. im slightly jealous. your stories entertain my boring and work orientated life.. and of corse i love you! not only because you post good travel blogs.. but im sure i can think of other reasons too. love you xx

hey al! wow your emails are so amazingly descriptive i love them, i hate reading emails like.. oh we went here and did this. your work at the tv station sounds freaking awesome! i can't believe you are actually writing things that are on tv, were you on tv or did someone read it out? you have to get copies of everything you do.. what an amazing experience... im soo excited about my travels! although going to kenya and ghana is freaking me out just a little bit. i sure hope i have enough money or i will kill someone. i havent done ANY study i am such a terrible student... starting to get a bit scared as i have exams in 6 days.. nothing much has been going on here, oh i have a trial at merricks tomorrow! hehe its like class of 2007 woodleigh at that place. well the cool chicks anyways... i cant believe erin and sarah got tatoos!! i didnt believe them at first but no.. sarahs is massive! she is one daring lady. well al i am so happy to know you're having a great time and LOVE reading your emails.. keep having a great time and enjoying living in another world.. so jealous. love you xx

What about one on getting driving licences in Oz - the rite of passage, difficulty etc - sounds very different to what Indonesians experience...
