We made it into Auckland just fine, although a bit tired. After a much needed nap, we headed to the Antarctic Encounter, an aquarium with a walk-through tunnel and a ride featuring live penguins. Jenn wanted to get out near the ferry terminal, which was about 5-7 blocks away from our hotel, even though the clouds above looked like it could rain at any moment (which it did as soon as we paid for our taxi). Hopefully, Alex has learned a valuable lesson and will now communicate important observations like looming rainfall. After our lovely stroll through the rain, we went up to the top of the Sky Tower, the tallest building in the southern hemisphere, for a nice dinner in the revolving restaurant.
