Day 8

We woke up to a beautiful sunny morning and were able to see the surrounding mountains, including the one which we had climbed yesterday. We drove up to Whakapapa (wh is pronounced with an f sound) and took some great pictures of the nearby volcanoes. Next, we continued on to Wellington through the desert, and stayed at a historic pub where we watched netball (strange women’s basketball) with the locals.
