This morning, we took the Interislander Ferry from Wellington to Picton (North Island to South Island). For lunch, we drove the scenic route to Havelock, the green lipped mussel capital of the world, and tried a variety of the famous shellfish. After driving through many switchbacks, we pulled into Nelson and found a nice B&B. We dined on local cuisine at a renovated boat repair shop before we returned to the ‘haunted’ Sussex Inn.
