| 8th December 2008 Lisa | Welcome Home Alaine!! - From: Farewell to Ships ... my final thoughts This entry really struck a chord in me. I know change is extremely, extremely difficult and reality is tougher to escape when your feet are planted on solid ground, but you've always been adventurous, you've always been a fighter and you're not afraid to confront things that rattle you and challenge them head-on. I've always known and appreciated these things about you. I also know that the "reality" you are about to tackle on solid ground will be really hard to confront in a way that you control the outcome and I just want to say that I will always, ALWAYS be here for you- it will FINALLY be possible again to find you in a reliable, somewhat static location, even if it requires boarding a plane to travel across the country to get to you. And I can sleep better at night knowing this. A phone call away is LITERALLY a phone call away, not "it's Sunday, let me try and maybe, MAYBE she'll be on land to answer" The people who have been in your life for years before the cruises still remain and I, for one, am THRILLED to be back in the loop. WELCOME HOME, ALAINE!!!!!!! |

| 30th March 2007 Dawn | - From: First Week Thoughts It's not really like college unless you frequently eat a whole thin crust pizza and cheesy bread for lunch and then have a crazy red-headed friend spit your midnight candy snack back and forth across the room while you watch "Elimidate" and "Just Shoot Me!" until you fall asleep at 3 (because that's when the "Everyone [Hates] Raymond" re-runs come on). Other than that, it sound pretty incredible and I am totally jealous. Miss and love you! |

| 29th March 2007 Uncle Harvey | Wow! - From: First Week Thoughts What an exciting life! Of course, burnout could be an occupational hazard. You may not have known that I had a similar job (on land) at an adult camp in the Poconos. I conducted the morning calesthenics, the singalong, the water relay races, taught the tango, called square dances, organized the baseball tourney, etc. 'Twas a very fun time of my life. I was 20. Love, Unk Harvey |
