breathtaking Wow, this is absolutely breathtaking, I think the photos posted with the fog, make it seem even more spectacular. When I think of Asia, this is what I think of! (Sorry I'm posting this now, but I was really quite behinf in my reading:( Also I wanted to let you know we recieved your post card about a month and a half ago, thank you!)
Take care guys!
Great blogs! Browsing through your blogs, and your food photos are making me hungry! Seriously though, i am truly enjoying your writing and photography. Keep traveling. Keep writing!
Still following your blogs... This bought back memories for me - did the Routeburn about 20 years ago! Nice photos in spite of the fog.
No food photos in this one though! I miss them!
New Zealand Earthquake I am glad to hear that you didn't suffer any mishaps from the earthquake. I was thinking of you whenever we heard about it, but I thought (correctly) that you were not in the immediate area of it, so were probably safe. Just glad you are.
Amazing photos! Hi Guys,
The pictures from your last two posts are amazing! I heard on the radio this morning that there was an earthquake in NZ. Hope you guys are ok.

If I am not mistaken, there is quite a bit of mythological history behind this rock? something to do, with mermaids, or ( watermen) and a girl who fell in love with one of them correct? apparently the locals still believe they can hear her crying out her love for him at night? and that the hole is meant to be there gateway to love?? something along those lines? maybe im thinking of a different rock formation but its quite something to forget?
Some amazing shots here!! Wow there are some lovely pics here. I never made it to the South island (much to the amusement of everyone in NZ) but these pics make realise I will need to go back there some day!
Way to go guys I'm envious because we travel lots as well. Will be able to use your info & pics on some of our trips.
Enjoy the rest of your trip.
Regards, Fred (Mona, Carla & Richard's Dad)
Hi!
Welcome to our travelblog page. We initally called ourselves "AfricaBound" because we spent a year traveling around Africa from August 2007 to August 2008. At that time, little did we even think that we could go on another extended trip. Somehow through much perseverance and determination we were able to save up for yet another extended trip, this time as sort of a honeymoon. Our current itinerary has us traveling from July 2010 until December 2011 through Central Asia, China, New Zealand, Australia and then back up to SE Asia, Nepal, India and then finally Japan.
Please feel free to s... full info

'Canal 5' and 'Afternoon walk along canal' look like paintings, can't believe the pictures are without people, the water is so still!
