Nice Pictures Very nice pictures. I will actually be going through the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater in two weeks and I'm really excited about it. Your pictures just make me want to go all the more. Thank you for a great look at the wildlife of Tanzania!
Thanks, but question? How was the overall feeling in Zambia and the surrounding areas in regards to what is happening in Zimbabwe?
Really??? 10 days???... you are braver people than I.

Wow! These pictures are great! What an amazing place! Now this is the 'ancient monuments lost in the desert' that I was hoping for and didn't get in Cairo!
Quad biking/paragliding Great photos! The scenery sure looks different from Alberta. To avoid the long hike up the dunes, you might consider skydiving. : )
beautiful Reading your posts brings back some nice memories. I spent 2 years in RAS and it wasn't nearly enough...I suppose I'll have to go back as well. I hope you are enjoying the Cape and its wine routs. Looking forward to reading about your new adventures... and don't forget to try biltong :)

Southern Africa I've enjoyed your last several entries, especially since I did a self-safari in 2000 with a similar itinerary. Amazing places, all of them! Can't wait to visit Kruger again in a couple months. What camp did you stay at in the Okavango?
buzzard That's actually a kite, black kite... one of the zillions all over Africa. You probably saw a million or so in Dakar alone. The best indicator is the V in the tail.
We are still figuring out what the West African raptor picture is, though....
Art work Thank you again for sharing this trip. I would enjoy seeing some pictures of the different art work...:-)
The roads look good so did you hear any reasons as to why so many trucks end up on their side?
Glad you made it to Nairobi fine. Southern Ethiopia sounds pretty fascinating. I've mostly read things about Ethiopia north of Addis but did recently read a book on African Ceremonies which featured the tribe with the lip plates and the one with the bull jumping ceremony - so very interesting.
Did you travel in convoy from the border to Marsabit? It was just west of Marsabit on the road to Lake Turkana that my truck (local, not Drago) got attacked by bandits in 2001.
Hope it continues to be fun. I'm busy planning my next travels.

Hello to Jordan & Kathie I used to work with your Mother, Jordan and she gave me this address when she sent a card at Christmas. I have really enjoyed signing in every few days and catching up with your wonderful adventure.
It looks so peaceful, clean and orderly...
You two are actually looking more relaxed/refreshed then when you started this trip...
Thank you for shareing all of this - have really enjoyed it and look forward to the next batch of pictures and comments. Joyce
Hi!
Welcome to our travelblog page. We initally called ourselves "AfricaBound" because we spent a year traveling around Africa from August 2007 to August 2008. At that time, little did we even think that we could go on another extended trip. Somehow through much perseverance and determination we were able to save up for yet another extended trip, this time as sort of a honeymoon. Our current itinerary has us traveling from July 2010 until December 2011 through Central Asia, China, New Zealand, Australia and then back up to SE Asia, Nepal, India and then finally Japan.
Please feel free to s... full info
