Denali I'm so glad you got to see that massive mountain. How do people ever climb it? When is Jeanne's foot going to heal? Mom really enjoys your blog entries. Miss you guys but glad you're having so much fun!
Stop Sign I am sorry, I had to laugh outloud when I read the part about the stop sign. It must be a thing with men and there homes on wheels. Terry had an encounter with a stop sign with our travel trailer not that long ago. I am so glad you are sharing your travels on this blog. I feel somewhat like I am enjoying the trip with you. Maybe some day I will get to Alaska. On the home front, the full-time missionaries from Iowa got here about 3 weeks ago. They are really nice. We have another full-time couple coming from Utah next Thursday. We are going to train both couples to be leads then when Elder Karren is here in October, he can choose who should lead and who should assist. Then we can extend as CSMs and be worker bees again. Yay!!
YOUR TRIP I'm sorry I had not be following this before but forgot then you were leaving. Today was the first day I got on and read all about the trip so far. Stu and I will be enjoying the daily blogs from now on. Poor Jeanine..... What a trip! Now, we want to go on a big trip. This year it is Mexico for 6 months, we hope. Love ya
Your Trip Mexico for six months sound good. We'be noticed that while we've seen lots of things, we haven't stayed in one place long enough to see more than a few attractions. Of course, the point was to get to Alaska and after more than five weeks we are not there yet.
Tonight we got into Dawson City after a long drive. It's not the miles, it's the roads and mountains that stretch out driving time. Well, be sure to let us know what you'Re up to in Mexico. Love, Bob & Jeanne

Wonderful Life What a cool experience. I need to get a map out to see where you guys are. Thanks for keeping us up to date. Why'd you buy the book if you already had it? Just to have a current copy? Hope Jeanne continues to recover and that you keep having fun. Be safe!
Wonderful Life The first time I read it was a library book. Now I get to read it again (and again) in the light of the fullness of the Gospel which will make it all the more revealing.
Lake Loiise Yes. If I didn'read and study scriptures, pray, attend church and the temple, repent when I fail, I would not have been able to act the way I did.
Should Have Hidden Now I know for sure I should have hidden somewhere in your luggage so I could be on this adventure with you. I don't know if I told you or not, but I grew up on a cattle ranch, learned to rope, barrel race and rode a few bucking horses. When I was a teen I competed for the title of Rodeo Queen and did a lot of barrel racing on the rodeo circuit. My son is a roper and used to ride broncs and bulls...now he concentrates on roping. Too old for the other. I so enjoy your adventures. Thank you for sharing.
Stampede! Wow. I grew up in Chicago. The Park District maintained bridle paths around the parks next to Lake Michigan for equestrians. I rode a horse once @13 but knew nothing about riding. Yesterday I was thinking about all the different experiences one can have in this life. I thought it's too bad we experience so few things in mortality. There are so many things we could do. We are limited by time and circumstances of birth. Then I thought if there was such a thing as parallel universes, why couldn't we develop parallel lives? I really appreciate those who work the land and stock. I also admire the First Nation's people who lived off the land and hunted the Buffalo, Bison. They say the Creator made grass for the Buffalo and that He made the Buffalo for Man. What a life that must've been. Thanks so much for your comments. I'll keep on blogging.
Bison - a favorite animal Thank you for posting the above information. I love the pictures. I have pictures hanging in our home of bison. One is a watercolor, one is an oil, one is a pencil sketch -- all three are signed by the artist. I also have several "dust catchers" as some would call them of this beautiful animal.
Bison The Bison we saw in the Lamar Valley at Yellowstone were cows and their calves. The ones we saw elsewhere were solitary bulls. The Head Smashed in interpretive center presented a detailed picture of the relationship between the Bison and the Blackfoot. Visit if you ever get the chance.
Get Well Soon Hi Sister dear. I am so sorry for your troubles. I hope you heal quickly. Love you.
P.S. Frank, the blog is great. Thank you. It is very enjoyable to read your updates and descriptions. Now I can live vicariously through you!
Prayers I will keep Jeanne in my prayers. I am so sorry she has had this run of bad luck. I love reading about your travels. Keep the info coming. Be safe and know we miss you.
Thanks for the tip. I guess the price increases proportionately with the distance. Thank you Sister Lambson. We have experienced some challenges before and after we embarked on this journey. But the important thing is that we continue to love and help one another. JeAnne has been a real trooper in accepting the discomfort and limitations imposed by her injuries. She can'T always get to the scenes I've recorded but she does what she can. Thank you again.
Ha! You should have jumped on stage to help free the banner since you're an expert at deploying the awning! Glad to see you're having a great time, be safe!
Cedar City I'm glad to hear you made it out of town. Two flat tires? I would have said that's impossible. Your accomplished the impossible already! Love reading the blog. Keep posting and I hope your future adventures are a little more planned.
Be Safe So happy that you are finished with blown tires. At least I hope you are. I really enjoy your blog. Thank you for sharing your adventures. Our prayers include you both. Safe Travels.
Bon voyage Hi, I am so happy you have started your trip. Jeanne, you broke your toes??? Heal quickly ? Hope you avoid the forest fires. Thanks for the blog. It will be fun to live vicariously through your posts. Love you both. Have fun.
Gas prices in Canada Fill up before entering Alberta, Canada ($$$$). Fill up before entering British Columbia, Fill up before entering the Yukon. There were 2 US gas stations on the Canada/Alaska border with cheaper gas.. Good place to fill up.
