Maestro: The high voices (flutes, piano, and violin) trickle in lightly with the most fragile version of the melody: playing it as if the notes were held together by a thread. A small crescendo leads in the lower voices, harmony, and the counter melody, which is almost immediately met with a ritard. The notes simmer down to almost a single violin almost as if to end the piece, but then a rhythm of perpetual motion drives the song, like a train at full speed, with no intention to stop, to the top of a mountain peak—as if the composer wanted to say “You’re her!
