We arrived in Seattle on the 6th, stayed the night to recover from the flight and came home wednesday night on the 5:00 boat. The Jet Lag is just now wearing off, it was not bad when we went over but coming back was way bad, the girls were over it the next day but Kira and I are just now getting over it. Our trip was great, we were able to see some sights I had not previousley seen as well as visit places I had been before. The trip up to Khao Lak was one I was most the most uncertain about, from the destruction that had been wrought by the Tsunami, I was expecting to see a totally ravaged landscape, this was not the case. The beach we stayed on was well on ... read more

HI all, Dick and Mary arrived yesterday from Phuket and we had dinner with them at their bungalow restaurant. It was just a week ago we left Phuket and it seemed like a lot longer, life is so laid back here you forget what day it is the minute you step off the boat. D&M had been down to Trang to set up the scholarship for Fadila with a friend of Gary Vaughns. Mary had to deal with some typical banking bullshit, it seems that if you are not a corporation or a bigshot palm greaser, the laws make it tough to move money internationaly, she was able to make it work ... read more

Hi everyone who has been wondering where in the hell I have been. I have had a hard time trying to get my images resized to get them to download at a fast rate, being just computer literate enough to be dangerous, it has been an unwanted learning experience but hopefully now I can get the images down loaded. We had a great time at Khao Lak, I was impressed at how it has recovered so far, not 100% for sure but they have rebuilt many operations and others are in the process. The hard hit areas are still very quiet, few resorts have rebuilt north of Bang Niang beach which was hit hardest, we stayed at Nang Thong beach and it was about 75% rebuilt and if you did not see it before you would ... read more

Sorry to all who have searched for this blog, I have had trouble making my computer work for some reason, but now think I have it strait. We had a good trip from the States to Bangkok, about 18hrs air time due to a 250 mph head wind for about 8 hrs so we were delayed an hour getting to taipei, left on time for BKK and arrive in a tired state at about 1300 local time. We grabbed a cab to our hotel in Silom and arrived at about 1500, after a room clusterf--k by me we got our room, about a 750 square foot "Executive" suite with two rooms. The hotel has a rooftop pool and we put that to much good use. The Girls were too tired to go out to dinner so ... read more
