ahh, only 7 days to go! so crazy, i really cannot believe it.
not to be negative or anything, haha, but I just have to write to write about the craziness of the past week.
first of all it was my last week of tutoring. I went to Hae Ji and Young Suh's on Monday and then to Jim and Lucy's. Hae Ji and Young Suh performed various musical instruments for me to video which was really cute, and Young suh asked his mom for her camera and took a bunch of videos and pics too, I'm gonna miss them so so much! Jim was hilarious as usual, we read some of his book and also took some cute videos. He had just gotten his hair cut and didn't like it, so he insisted on wearing a hat , lol. And Jim told me "I'm going to go to Hainan on the summer holiday and I'll go swimming and then I'll email you. " so so cute! Both their moms also took a bunch of pics of us which was nice 😊 It was my last time going to Jim and Lucy's which was sad, but I still see them
at school so i don't have to say goodbye yet! When I got home that night i realized I didn't have my keys! I had ridden my bike and my keys are pretty big so that was strange. I called flora and she called and asked Jim's mom, but they didn't have them, so I rode back slowly to check the sidewalk. I got all the way back to their house, but still couldn't find them, soo annoying. Luckily, I was able to just get a copy made of Drew's building key for 10 kaui and I've just been leaving my apt door open.
Ha, then on tues. while I was eating dinner at the muslim place, I got a random phone call. I didn't know the number so I didn't answer. They called again and I missed it, and then again once I was at Seong hee's house. So, after saying hello I gave her the phone and told her I didn't know who it was. She talked to them but didn't understand why they were calling, so I asked her to ask them if maybe they had my keys, not that my phone number was actually in
my keys but who knows.., that had no idea what she was talking about and we then found out that they were in suzhou and had the wrong number. A few min later though they called again! haha, Seong took my phone and answered and they asked her to give it to me. So she did and I said "hello" and they said "ahhhhh, laowai, lawoai, nalilai, nalilai??" So i said meigou, and they started screaming and laughing "meigouren, megouren!!" LOL, so so random and so funny. lol, and soo China. It was my last day at Tom's house that thurs. and i was telling him about it and he was like "That's stupid, they live in Suzhou and they never saw a foreigner before." Haha, gonna miss Tom and his smart humour like those parodies of the Korean president that he'll spend half an hour explaining to me, lol, so much! I was really sad having to said goodbye to him for real, unlike the kids I see at school, and then I had to go to my last time at Hae Ji and Young Suh's. We all just hungout together which was interesting cause they were peaking korean
to eachother, and Young Suh was just relying on Hae Ji to tell me things which he's never been able to or had to before. Then, we were gonna make a video and they started fighting, haha, eventually they got over it though and played some more instruments for me. It was really sad riding home from their house, they are both such cool kids, I really hope they're able to email me and keep in touch!
Now, today I first found out that I actually had a choice this whole year with mailing things, and that it doesn't need to cost 400 kai to mail a small box. LOL. Turns out the first time when I had checked surface shipping the lady just thought I wouldn't want it slow show she told me no, even though I obviously knew what it was since it was in English. Anyway, I took a big box of books and clothes today expecting to spend all of the money in my bank account and it was less than 300 kuai!! crazyyy!! I still am in shock, of course it will probably take over a month to to get there, but thats better then
all the fees I'm gonna have to pay for my suitcases being to heavy on the way to Japan and home.
Oh, also today..after tryng to find the phone number for the hotel at the airport for 2 days and talking to several different people at random hotels who hardly spoke English I finally got the right phone number. I called and said hello thinking that theyed quickly give the phone to someone who spoke english but instead they asked me in Chinese if I spoke Chinese! lol, I said no, do you speak English "boo, ni xuo engwen ma?" and she said no i don't speak english in chinese. Soo, I waited and another lady answered and said hello and I asked if this hotel was in the the airport and she said wait a moment, and then i heard some people in the backround basically passing the phone back and forth, hahaha. Finally a guy answered and his english was pretty ok, lol, it did take about a half hour to get an answer for my questions, but supposedly I've booked a room with just my name, we'll see about that.
Last, thing..they've cancelled all of
my 4th, 5th and 6th grade classes for the next three days!!! Well, at least for the afternoon, still not sure about the morning. I really can't believe it, well in a way I can, but come on..it's my last class with them and they cancelled them, really not ok. Soo, my plan for now it to go to those classes on Saturday after my last one's and at least say goodbye. On the bright side though 2nd grade was so so cute today, and at least I still have my good classes on Saturday!.
