Halong Bay

We have had a wonderful 2 day 1 night cruise on Halong Bay.We left Hanoi by bus in the early morning, arriving in Halong Bay in time for lunch aboard the Paloma. We left shore for a tour of the bay, which included a visit to a floating village and a canoe tour of the karsts and out crops. We spent overnight on board and enjoyed wonderful meals, and a luxury cabin, a big treat for us.
The scenery is absolutely breathtaking. There is a mystical beauty about it, with the constant mist giving the sandstone karsts an eerie silouhette. Astounding.
