Cruising past Koh Phangan on final approach to Samui
Hello from rainy Koh Phangan.

Arrived yesterday lunchtime having met Daz in Bangkok ok. We managed to get the 1030 ferry from Big Buddha to Hat Rin and then took a 45 miniute taxi to our resort up on the north west coast. Things are pretty layed back here at Sunset Cove so there's actually not a great deal to report. That's not strictly true actually. About 15 minutes ago a gentle breeze came off the sea and dislodged an innocent solitary coconut which dropped safely onto the soft golden sand below.

Last night we went down to Had Rin home of the full moon party for a pre full moonparty. It was pretty crazy down there so goodness knows what it will be like tonight. Dazza is recovering from the minor burns sustained whilst attempting to skip over a petrol and fire laced skipping rope. That was after he competed in the 'burst the balloon with fire & petrol breath' game. Fire appears to be a key component at the full moon party. We left at 3am and thus had no requirement to use the designated 'crash out sleep area'. Tonight is the main event so more whisky buckets, flourescent paint and general mayhem.

Today has seen showers throughout the day but it really doesn't matter, it's so warm, the pool is great and the Chang beers taste superb. Time for a short siesta now and I've just realised sitting in this internet room for 5 minutes I am being eaten alive by some horrible flying things so I'm not hanging about here..

Hello from Hove
Hi Rich, Nina here - you know, the better half of John the cyclist. Oh come on, you remember him... you two trekking along country lanes, up and down the Downs and then a cold beer and some nosh in the garden. Great to hear you're having such a good time on the other side of the world. Stay away from the reds and the yellows though and whatever you do, don't show anyone your Palace pants!!!! I don't think the Thais are ready for that as yet... let them sort out their internal affairs first... Hope the head ain't too sore from that full moon party. Funny, but we've got the same moon over here. But I bet our party's a bit more sedate... Take care luv, Nina and John too, of course xxxx
