After spending a great final week in Malaysia we headed for Thailand on 5th February. We decided to stay overnight for 2 days in a small town called Trang which we thought would make a change as it isn't particularly a tourist destination and we knew we'd be heading to many beaches in the coming weeks. The journey involved a ferry and mini van which was relatively painless. As this is not a tourist destination we managed to stay in a really nice hotel for really cheap called My Friend Hotel, it had a hot shower (rarity in South East Asia for cheap), a fridge, fresh bed lining everyday and best of all Satellite TV so I could watch Liverpool beat Chelsea (gettin!!)

We were lucky in that on the weekend they have night markets in the centre so we went there where Hayley bought 2 new tops and a dress for very cheap (around 5 pounds). On our only full day there we saw on a map a park so decided to walk (around an hour each way) there. We spent a couple of hours there, was a very big park with masses of fish in a lake where locals were selling food. In the entire time it took us to walk to the park, round the park and walk back we did not see one westerner so we we're a bit of a novelty and had loads of people beeping their horns at us as they drove past which was quite surreal but good.

Next stop a small island called Koh Mook.
