Days 8 & 9 - Tioman to Mersing to Terengganu to Perlis to Hat Yai and Finally to Krabi

We've finally made it to Thailand! We've been on several different buses over the last 48 hours straight. That inlcudes two sleepless nights on a bus. We started in the south end of Malaysia and headed for the northeast border with Thailand only to discover upon arrival that the border was closed. We then had to hop back on a bus to the west coast - hence the extra travel time. But we're here now!

It's actually monsoon season on the west coast of the country right now so it's pouring rain. There are many spectacular beaches over here but we're thinking about skipping them all together if this downpour keeps up. The beaches on the east coast should be sunny and perfect right now.
