As you can see the pool was brilliant...it was still quiet season so we had it almost to ourselves. It was a bit overcast but still really hot...and who cares as long as it didn't rain!
We arrived to beautiful weather in Ko Samui and settled into a fantastic hotel the Amari. Absolutely lovely rooms and staff who loved Matthew (although I think he got a it fed up of people patting his head).

We relaxed in the pool and then headed for the beach and lunched on bbq'd corn on the cob and fresh pineapple. It was lovely to enjoy Ko Samui in the sun and Matthew really loved the sea.

We visited Chris from Histon again, in his new pub the Cambridge Arms but also had a great bbq on the beach.....it was nice to sip cocktails on the beach. The bbq was amazing.....Matthew even enjoyed it.....we had shark, red snapper, prawns and even lobster. (Although we did make clear to Matthew that lobster can't be his favourite food at home)

We only spent 3 nights/4 days but it was just about the right time to get over the jet lag. The highlight was Ko Pha Ngan the next island along where famous full moon parties /raves take place - no we didn't take Matthew to a rave but we did enjoy ourselves by hiring out a long boat for the day

The seats aren't as comfortable as the look but after a few drinks we didn't care....it was lovely and cool as it was only a few feet away from the sea.
and finding our very own beach. The boys dived off the boat and snorkelled. Dean and Kevin though it was hillarious to rock the boat. As you can guess Jill and I didn't find it so funny. The whole day was great.

We had one more night in Bangkok before catching the next plane....next stop Sydney.
