Even Ronald McDonald wishes you a Thai "hello" in Bangkok
Sawadee Kah (Hello) from Thailand!
Actually we are in Sydney today, but wanted to send a little update on Thailand.

In short, Thailand was awesome. We started with a day and a half in Bangkok. The people are SO friendly and the food is excellent. It was a nice change of pace from India/Nepal and good to see some other Western faces around. We saw some Buddhist sights in Bangkok and took it easy.

The rest of the week was spent with some down time on the island of Ko Samui. We stayed in Bo Phut at the Peace Resort and recharged. It was the true "vacation" part of this trip where we really took it easy and didn't go out a lot to see sights etc. We'd recommend this place to anyone- again, the Thai people are so friendly, good food, nice accommodations, and pretty cheap.

We spent some quality time poolside and took out a jet ski in the Gulf of Siam. We also took a Thai cooking class, learning how to make our own curry and stir fry. It was yummy and a great experience.

We flew to Sydney Australia today and are safe

and sound. It's a beautiful city and the Opera House/Sydney Harbor is an awesome sight to see. We'll explore Sydney tomorrow before heading north to Cairns & the Great Barrier Reef for a couple days.

We hope you are well and are enjoying the summer too!
Love,
Caroline & Ted
