Monday 15th June
Bad hangover day today haha and the case of the missing trainers continued, Sam the man had to purchase some flip flops about 3 sizes too small haha he wasnt all the amused!
We left Duncan at Koh Tao and got a night boat to Surat Thani, the main land of thailand. We got aboard and on the left and right of the boat were beds, well matttress type things on the floor, except we hadnt been allocated a bedding area so we had to sleep on the wooden floor of the boat with no pillow or anything!! Uncomfortable wasnt the word, then the boat set off and it was being thrown in every single direction - this is not a good combination with a hangover! Half the people on the boat were up all night being sick haha, i lay very still with my eyes tightly shut (somehow this makes everything ok, you close your eyes tight and it goes away!) haha, somehow i managed to make it to the other side in one piece! Then it was a bus ride to Krabi followed by another boat ride to get to Phi Phi!! Alot of travelling in one day!
Got to Phi Phi it was lashing it down! trying to find accom, phi phi is made up of tiny little pathways which were totally flooded!!
Spent the afternoon like zombies after our marathon travelling session, so sat in a cafe drinking tea all afternoon, wishing the rain to go away!
Met up with Andres and Sebastian, again! so went to the beach that night to party a little, found Toby and JoJo the swiss guys! Its impossible to lose people around here! haha not that i want to, but its such a small world!
Wednesday 17th June
Took a boat trip to islands around Phi Phi, went to monkey island, allthe cheeky monkeys coming up and nicking peoples food! Some people became trained monkey whisperers or something, they would sit on the sand and get the monkey to sit on them pet them like dogs andwonder why they would end up being bitten and have to go to hospital for a rabies injection!!!dur!
Went to various other islands and snorkelled around, then it was onto the island where the beach was filmed! Dear god, what a trauma! by this point it had gotten pretty choppy in the sea, the boats all lined up next to the island then you had to swim to a teeny tiny wooden ladder that was tied to a sheer cliff drop, not only was it hard to swim and keep your head about water, you would get thrown against the rocks and slip off this tiny ladder - it was every man for himself i tell ya! haha
beach was really nice, few too many people really and couldnt take pics with having to swim the entire length of the river thames to get onto the island so that was a shame! I was too busy worrying about how i was going to get BACK to the boat, swimming against the current to enjoy it much!
Got back to the little trusty ladders, you had a rope to hang onto this time that led you from the cliff to the boats but it didnt really help as it didnt keep oyu above water, jst stopped you from being dragged out to sea!!! somehow made it on board after one or two slight panic attacks and sam having to literally hold my hand to stop me from having a mental breakdown right there in the water! Two other girls couldnt make it back, someone had to go back with a life jacket and swim them to the boat - at least i didnt embarress myself quite that much! haha
