The town here is all geared up for the parties and tourists which is something I usually avoid but it has been good fun to order western food that’s actually delicious and safe to eat while curled up on sofas watching episodes of the inbetweeners in the heat of the day. Trying to stay out of the sun for now but enjoying the beach and of course reading avidly. I’ve got a whole year of reading for pleasure to catch up on after all. Oh and bizarrely, the locals have decided to build a house next to us. It’s quite mesmerising to watch as it’s constructed pretty rapidly before your eyes. We saw something similar in Laos, a temple expanding it’s size courtesy of the local monks mixing concrete etc. I’m enjoying watching it being built when it suits me while lying in a hammock but they start pretty early and I can hardly sleep through anything, so hardly a circular saw. Having fun and not too bruised or battered from the ocean yet, got to remember the coral is so sharp even if you’re excited because the water’s warm and you’re on holiday. Bailed on going out tonight although the boys came home pretty early so at least I didn’t miss too much. This thing was that we are putting redbull in everything and here it is super strong. Like illegal in the UK strong and it made me feel pretty mental. Enough excitement and bedtime for me,

Best wishes to all, love from Katie
