Aun me estoy riendo.
Yes we left Koh Tao after two weeks in the island (that is how much we liked it). In Koh Tao we had fun (with Paul, Stephan and Patrick), got drank a few times, swam with sharks in Shark Bay, enjoyed great scuba diving and relaxed big time.
We left Koh Tao with "style", we took the night ferry to Surat Thani, in the night Ferry you have got one bed to sleep in, when I say one bed that is what I mean, well in fact there are two beds separated by a corridor, there is mattresses put together on the floor and around 40 people sleep together, rather "nice". Amazingly Ade and I slept like babies, I think that we are getting used to this kind of things and do not expect anything comfy at all while travelling, like Janet (my boss at Cale House) used to say to me "Lower you expectations, Maria" I think that she will be proud of me.
When we arrived to Koh Lanta I didn't know what to expect and was quite interested to know how the community was manging after the Tsunami in 2004 (this area was affected)
but it seems that the fact that there are a lot of trees in the coastline (still) helped a lot in reducing the number of casualties. Nowadays you can see many signs directing you to safety areas if a Tsunami occurred.
In Koh Lanta we have been forced to relax, there is nothing much to do round here and the few things to do are extremely expensive, like diving. Another example is a Cave that you can find in the middle of the island, only discovered 2 years ago for which you have to pay 220 Baht each for a kilometre walk, being at the end of Thailand and with many Baht left we just cannot afford it.
I know that the people that reads Ade's blog will know this already but I don't mind I'll tell it again, Ade has got a Shaggable Toe, at least in the opinio of one horny toad that we encountered the other day, I couldn't believe it, they normally run away from you but this one didn't, this one had a mission and went for it!!! OH the Inkson Toe!!!!
