Hiya everybody. Thanks for all the advice on bites! Very helpful!
We were at Lampang for two days and we visited more temples and KFC's. Both were very nice. We made a great discovery while we were there that you cannot trust the food - and that you must therefore always check the best before date even in Tescos! We still have not found a packet of noodles in date but they still are edible.
We are now in Chang Mai - the home of tourists. A starbucks on every corner.
Yesterday we went to two temples and managed to see a Buddist ritual where the monks go out in a long line and people give them money/food/offerings in return for good luck. So that was very nice. We also went to Tesco in the evening and bought more lovely food (including out of date noodles). Also Bobby's shoes completely fell apart but we thought 4 pounds was a little on the expensive side and so we went to a second hand shop and bought a lovely pair of DKNY trainers for 1.50. Now that is what we call a bargain!
We visited another temple today on the top of a mountain (see pictures) which was lovely but we had to wait an hour till the bus was full so the driver, who looked like an oriental Fonzy, would go.
We have another 3 days in Chang Mai where we will be going further out on day trips. We would therefore like to ask who thinks that we should visit the hill tribes with the long necks? Me and bobby are thinking these villages will be too touristy...

In the previous photos that mysterious person in the hut was in fact a bobby and the bobby who looked like superbobby in fact was just wearing a long top just to clear that up.

We have been doing a mixture of train and bus and we have found that on the trains you get a much better view of the scenery.

Also we hope Richard and Terri have a good time in Guernsey.

We are glad that you liked the photos granny and if anyone has any photo requests then just say...except for pictutres of other people!

Last of all, Neil..."Where are you..Lets be Havin' Ya"...

Photo requests - how about a nice one of a plate of fresh fruit or a pic of some footballers for chris - they do play footie in thailand dont they? or some local musicians for John, or whatever lots of love - we had to get anti midge bite cream in Norway - special strong stuff was given to us - so can sympathise Love Liz, John, Chris and Susannah

Pictures of fruit and Bobbies please
Dear Bobbies - you look like you have got a bit of a tan?? I have one of your photos as the wallpaper on my desk top at work. Still getting your bargins I see. Surely you must be eating some fruit - yes I agee we need to see a picture of it. We ate tons of fruit whilst we were out there. Have you seen any elephants yet? I think I will have to return the voucher for "Monkey World" that I purchased for when you return!!! I must say that the monkeys we saw in Thailand were retriving coconuts from a tree and were on a leash! (Thank God!) Scott has passed the first two of his end of second year exams - just waiting for the next two results. p.s. when I say pictures of fruit - I don't mean a bag of apples from Tescos!! Love wife of favourite uncle
