Well we made it to Chiang Mai. Its really nice here, much cleaner than everywhere else we've been. Were staying in a really nice hotel here for about 28 dollars a night. Not really roughing it, yet! The train ride up here was...interesting. not like trains in America at all. But we survived and it was only a few dollars for the 12 hour train ride! We havnt done much here except spend money. Chiang Mai had a huge market place open at night called the Night Bazzar. Ryan and I...well mostly I got really carried away buying things. I got some really cool crap though.

The last couple days i have been sort of sick. I had a really bad stomach ache two days ago and Ryan talked me into walking around this market...and well in thailand there are a lot of smells...pungent, sometimes gut-wrenching smells. So we were walking around and there were fish guts, chicken gizzards, eye balls, and all sorts of things to gross a person out...and this wouldnt have been so bad if they all werent out in the hot sun getting as smelly as possible. i thought i was going to die. Ryan was laughing while i was doing everything in my power not to lose my breakfast....that seriously sucked.

I have noticed something else in thailand. The women here like Ryan. Sometimes he will wave at some of them and i swear each time they blush. The other thing i have noticed here is that Thais really like american music...and american movies..and american food. Ive seen starbucks, KFC, subway, DQ and sizzler.also there are 7-11s on like every corner. Sometimes we will go in a store and there will be a song playing in thai, but i will feel like it is so familair.. then suddenly i reallize that it is an american song in thai. We hear them literally everywhere. And yesterday all we did was watch american movies on tv.

Anyway, Not much for new pictures yet. I will try to post again tomorrow. Ryan and I are going to get massages, but maybe not a traditional Thai massage.....because from what i hear a Thai massage is basically a "paid for ass kicking" .....we'll see...
