Preparations for the Loy Krathong festival
We get up late and head down for breakfast, it's already hot and we planned for a walk this morning. We head off for a walk around the moat and I get lost looking for a particular street. We're accosted by several friendly locals, offering trips to assorted factories! We deciline and finally find ourselves back at Tha Pae Gate. We stop for coffee and then more walkies. I've taken to using an umbrella for shade, shame it's black and sparkly. Kev has been talking about booking a trip to Chiang Rai and the Goldern Triangle, so we pick one of many tour companies and book ourselves in for Thursday.
We retire back to the hotel when it gets too hot to walk anymore and prepare for the 'walking street' market that happens every Sunday night.

guy who used to work at Emap. He escaped and is currently travelling, coincidence always freaks me out a bit, I never expect to run into people I know halfway around the world! We shuffle up and down the street, I buy some bits and pieces, not haggling too much and we head back around 10.30.

We've got an early start tomorrow as it's Flight Of The Gibbon day, so the sensible thing to do would be sleep. Unfortunately Star Wars is on the TV so no early night for us.
