Lets start with this curry I made
red curry from the thai cooking class in Chiang Mai

There are about 300 steps leading up to the temple, with peddlers selling their wares with young children from local villages

Umbrella Making
Besides its excellent food, Chiang Mai is known for umbrella making and other crafts such as silk weaving , jade carving and silver jewelry making. You can take a tour of the many factories, which seem to have one or two people working as craft people and then a giant store full of goods. It just doesnt add up.
