Restaurant
Cabbages and Condoms It doesn't seem like I've only been here a week, but I have, it's crazy!
With our last few hours in Bangkok we visited a restaurant called Cabbages & Condoms, it took ages to get to it including crossing a motoway which involved me scrageing my leg! But it was worth it because the setting was lovely and the food wasn't too bad either. All of the decorations were made out of colouful condoms, so they had flowers etc and it was quite cool to see what they had concocted. Forgot to say that the taxi's in Bangkok are hot pink which is pretty cool!
Were at the Ecohouse now and we will be here for the next week as well. They took us to the wrong house first of all but luckily our house is nicer so we didn't mind too much! We visited lots of temples at least one a day which are really beautiful but after awhile they get a bit samey! The second evening we were here the local children came and danced for us as a welcome ceremony, they were all really good and the evening ended in a bit of audience participation which

The condom family! was quite amusing.
One of the girls here is from austria so we play a game called extreme snitchsnac which is basically snap but a lot more complex on an evening at the bar across the street. Its good value there with a beer being 40p and cocktails about £1! There's little else to do here once it gets dark so we usually end up at the bar.
We visited the ruins of a temple that was a lot like Angkor Wat in Cambodia which was a nice change. We have also spent the days learning the Thai language and we had a Thai cookery lesson. We also visited a school which was great to see.
Most days we have had lunch at a restaurant which has been a nice change from tofu, although when we had tea on the karaoke boat the karoke machine stopped working which was a bit of a shame!
The local town here isn't too bad. It has a department store, KFC, dairy queen and loads of other little shops, although I will definately be going back to Kho San for my clothes shopping. It also has a swimming pool that
My bites!
They got a lot worse than this honest! looks really grimy from the outside but is really nice inside.
I've managed to visit the hospital already on this trip, oh dear! Turns out I'm allergic to mosquito bites and some of them got infected so I am on antibiotics for the next week so no drinking! My private hospital appointment and medications only cost me a mere £12 so not too bad value! I also had food poisoning thursday night through Friday so I was room bound then. I'm assuming I'm having all my illness now so the rest of my trip will be fine!
Next week is culture week so I will be visiting a lot more temples including staying overnight in one! I will try to update this weekly but that may not always be practical!
