After a few crazy days in Bangkok and a very expensive visa run to Cambodia (never trust the travel agencies on khoa san - when will i learn!!) I was off to Ko Chang. Turned out to be the longest bus journey ever as we had to stop at every restaurant owned by anyone related or friends with the driver! But eventually i arrived on the island and headed via pick up to lonely beach. This is the main backpacker area on the beach and apparently not very lonely as it was difficult to find accomodation on the first night. The locals however, were very friendly and the atmosphere very laid back - as usual Bob Marley was being played in nearly ever bar!
Spent the next few days chilling in the gorgeous sunshine, and managed to meet up with a couple of people who i had met earlier in Thailand which was really nice. The island is nice and if i had had more time i would have checked out some of the other beaches but i couldnt tear myself away from the beach outside my accomodation for long enough!!
After relaxing i headed back to Bangkok to meet up with Erik and head down to Surrathani on the night bus to take part in a 10 day silent meditation retreat
