Back at the hotel we got our bags off the concierge, and seeing as how we'd already had to check out we went to the fitness centre to shower and repack our bags before our flight. After that we had dinner and sampled local beer, that was me, delicious, they sold it everywhere. Mum tried the local whiskey, which she deemed quite palatable. Onto another bus and off to the airport. After getting on our delayed airplane, sorry jumbo jet, we were cheerfully informed by the luckily secluded captain that we were unable to have air conditioning for our twelve hour long flight, as it wasn't working. Luckily mum got to sit next to a charming chappy from Scotland who was wearing a tweed coat, and didn't believe in deoderant. At least she was entertained the whole time by hearing not only about his recent trip to Australia for his neices wedding, but also his complete life story. After all it was a twelve hour flight. Poor old Kathi-Anne could do nothing else but sleep.
