Sánúk

The thai word SANUK means "fun" and everything worth doing - even work - should have an element of sanuk, otherwise it becomes drudgery. That does not mean Thais don't want to work, just that they approach tasks with a sense of playfulness. Nothing condemns an activity more than MAI SANUK - 'not fun'. (Thailand's Lonely Planet)

Se esistesse una Lonely Planet di Perugia inserirebbe probabilmente la seguente voce sotto il titolo "Cultura Locale":

The perugian word ...VIENAROMPICOJONI means "comes to break one's balls" and refers to anybody who comes in any sort of contact or communication with the person issuing the utterance. Everything in life - even work - has an element of ...VIENAROMPICOJONI, otherwise the person who does not recognize this in his or her verbal and nonverbal expressions is looked upon as psychologically ill. That does not mean people from Perugia are always pissed off, just that they approach things with a sense of heaviness, recognizing the ineluctable fact that everything and anything comes in life to break one's balls. Per cui un sacco di piccoli dettagli qui rendono veramente ogni passeggiata una sorpresa......venendo da Perugia uno non puo' non notare che le persone tendono a sorridere spesso e volentieri, e ad essere veramente gentili e disponibili. Ovviamente c'e' anche l'altro lato della medaglia.........in fine giornata le mascelle fanno un po' male. Di fato pero' un Tailandese a perugia rischia il linciaggio, mentre un perugino in tailandia......... forse.......... pure (la sensazione non verificata e' che non appena uno sgarra esce fuori un poliziotto o un militare e te prende a manganellate. Dopotutto negli ultimi 35 anni hanno avuto 18 colpi di stato). Dunque.........Sánúk a tutti!
