The morning following the knifing event started slowly, mainly due to a crocked toe of my co traveller. I went out on a mission in Chiang Mai to restore some law and order inside my body. In the search of fresh fruit, I hit the local market.

Later that day tsz wai was able to attempt a mission up to a temple 3500 feet above sea level. Luckily there was little walking involved and a taxi service was available to ferry us up there! This was pretty much the only thing we managed to do today as we prepared to leave Chiang Mai and head back down to Bangkok before travelling further south to Surat Thani and then ko samui.

We checked out of our hotel on Friday afternoon and headed to the train station to take our overnight train to Bangkok. Unfortunately, this was made difficult with as we were waving down taxis in the pouing rain. Once at the train station, we loaded up of food for the journey, namely lychees, nuts and crisps....what a nutritious dinner. Our fellow passengers were just as exciting as the granny on our first. I was merely practicing my Thai 'sawatikup' which attracted the attention of a local traveller. Although her English was limited, we managed to have a reasonable conversation with her group and discovered the places to go to for food and drink in Bangkok. sinclair

After arriving in Bangkok, we spent the day wondering the streets like the prostitutes we are! we attracted nothing but bitches...literally! Walking to the shopping centre we were attacked by a hungry bitch which took a snap at tszwai's leg. Luckily her sluggish reflexes were enough to fend herself from anymore bloodshed. The bitch was partnered with a companion which prevented me from sticking a cheesy foot in its head! Apart from this event, we spent the day eating in various restaurants until it was time to board our train down south to surat thani.

see you laters!
